How it works

MyTownRSVP is a small tool for local gatherings. No accounts. No ads. RSVPs stay free; Gold unlocks extra host power tools.

1. Create a gathering

Add a title, when and where, and optional details like capacity, themes, guest-email rules (optional or required), waitlists, and custom questions (waivers, emergency contacts). We email you a private link to manage the event—and a portal for everything you’ve created with that email. Lost the link? Use Returning host? on the home page.

2. Share the RSVP link

Send the public page by text or email. Guests can say yes, no, or join a waitlist, note a party size, and leave a message. They don’t need an account. Guests who leave an email get a confirmation with calendar links.

3. Run the event (always free)

• Dashboard headcount, notes, and guest emails
• Capacity limits and waitlist tracking
• Manual Promote to Coming when a spot opens
• Door check-in on a phone or tablet at the entrance
• Required Email when you need to reach every guest

4. Gold host tools (optional)

Support on Buy Me a Coffee, enter the passcode from the thank-you message, and unlock host-level Gold across your events:

• Message attendees (blast), automated reminders, and post-event thank-yous
• Timed volunteer shifts and automated waitlist promotion
• Co-hosts, series cloning, host calendar feed, CSV export, and copy Coming emails

What we don’t do

• No social feed or follower graph
• No advertising or cross-site tracking
• No requirement that neighbors create passwords
